Texadelphia’s Cheesesteaks Return to Houston

The Austin-based chain will reopen in October

Cheesesteak enthusiasts, rejoice — Austin-based sandwich chain Texadelphia is just about ready to make its triumphant return to Houston.

A Facebook post announces that Texadelphia’s forthcoming location at 8383 Westheimer will officially open its doors in early October. It’s the first Texadelphia in Houston since 2015, when the chain shuttered its last Houston location (also on Westheimer) that had operated in Space City for almost 20 years.

For Houston newcomers or folks unfamiliar with Texadelphia, the chain is known for its “Texas-inspired” take on the Philly cheesesteak. The classic provolone or Cheez Whiz can be swapped for queso (because of course) and the traditional beef can be swapped for chicken or veggies. Deli sandwiches, salads, and nachos round out the menu.

Texadelphia will kick open the doors to its new Houston location on October 2. Stay tuned for full operating hours and more details on the Houston outpost’s menu.
