Dallas/Fort Worth-based burger restaurant Rodeo Goat Ice House originally anticipated opening its first Houston location in the EaDo neighborhood this spring. Then the opening got pushed back to October.
Now, due to the impact of Harvey, Rodeo Goat Ice House is delaying its opening one more month. Rodeo Goat Ice House Houston is expected to open in mid-November, according to a PR rep.
The delay isn’t due to any flooding related to Hurricane Harvey. But the storm affected those working on the project, as the owners shifted their focus to protecting employees and their families and making sure everyone had shelter, food and water. The rep added it will be a couple weeks before workers are back on site.
Rodeo Goat Ice House is known for its over-the-top burgers piled high with the usual ingredients and more unique toppings like candied bacon and blackberry compote.
