Next week, Midtown dwellers will have a brand new option for drinking wine and sharing plates when Momo Food + Wine makes its Houston debut.
The cozy-chic new spot for a glass of rosé and snacks is set to open its doors at 4104 Fannin in the coming days. Momo Food + Wine is a project of Houston event planner Moon Jamaluddin, and will serve up a carefully-selected menu of wines from across the world paired with snacks and upscale bar fare that’s influenced by Mediterranean, Indian, and Spanish influence.
In addition to the grapes, diners can look forward to a diverse menu of bar snacks, including jhal muri, a totally addictive bar snack made with crunchy puffed rice, fried chickpeas, lentils, and mustard oil, and potato-lentil nachos topped with tamarind sauce. Many of the items on the menu at Momo are vegetarian-friendly, but the Midtown Dog, topped with jalapeno ketchup, caramelized onions, and garlic mayo, will satisfy any carnivores in the group.
Momo Food + Wine officially opens on October 3, and will be open from 3 p.m. until 12 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday. For Midtown winos who just can’t wait, the bar will host a friends and family service on Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
