So many Sichuan peppercorns await at Spicy Girl

In the coming months, the Mid-Main development in Midtown Houston will be home to two exciting new eateries — a ramen shop called Ramen Jo, and a Sichuan restaurant called Spicy Girl.

Posts to Spicy Girl’s Facebook page indicate that signage is up and construction on the restaurant at 917 Winbern is nearing completion. Located on the ground floor of the building, the restaurant posted back in August that it was anticipating a September opening, but it’s likely that delays caused by Hurricane Harvey have likely pushed that target back.

In addition to Spicy Girl, it also appears as if to a noodle-focused shop called Ramen Jo will also open at 917 Winbern. A Yelp page has been established for the restaurant, but no information about the menu or a timeline for the restaurant’s debut have been announced just yet.

Details about both restaurants are scarce, but Eater has reached out to both Spicy Girl and Ramen Jo for more clarity on when these two exciting new additions to Midtown will make their respective debuts.
