Milk & Cream’s Ice Cream Stuffed Buns Arrive In Houston

It’s sort of like a doughnut that’s stuffed with ice cream

This weekend, Dallas-based sweet shop Milk & Cream will officially debut its ice cream stuffed pastries in Houston.

Milk & Cream announced its arrival at 9630 Clarewood Drive in a post to its Facebook page, which means that the wait for the shop’s self-described “milk and cream buns” is officially over. The pastry at Milk & Cream is like a less-sweet doughnut that is warmed, then stuffed with a scoop of ice cream and toppings like Fruity Pebbles, whipped cream, and chocolate chips.

According to Eater Dallas, Milk & Cream’s buns take inspiration from the “milky buns” invented in Southern California in 2014. Milk & Cream founder Man Ho tried the buns there, and decided to bring the no-brainer combo to Texas. The Dallas location arrived a few years later, opening in 2016.

Milk & Cream will host a grand opening shindig on Saturday, September 30 starting at 12 p.m. For those in need of a late-night pastry fix, the party will continue until midnight.
