— After the vast majority of Houston’s restaurants were forced to close during and after Hurricane Harvey, Houston Restaurant Weeks founder Cleverley Stone announced over the weekend that the annual fundraiser has been extended through September 30. A full list of restaurants that will participate in the additional weeks is expected to be posted to the Houston Restaurant Weeks website sometime on Tuesday.

— Originally scheduled for September 14, the Houston Chronicle Culinary Stars event, where critic Alison Cook presents her annual list of the city’s top 100 restaurants, has been postponed. No new date has been announced yet, but the event will go on as planned, along with a fundraising component that will benefit victims of Hurricane Harvey. [EaterWire]

— On Friday, the Houston Food Bank announced that Taylor Swift made a “sizable” donation to the charity. According to a Facebook post from the nonprofit, Swift’s contribution was made in honor of her mother, who graduated from the University of Houston. Swift isn’t the first major celebrity to announce donations to the Houston Food Bank in recent days, either — last week, Gwyneth Paltrow urged her Instagram followers to contribute to the organization after making her own donation.

Houston, we will do what we can from far away, but please know you are in our prayers ❤️(just donated)
