Yesterday, Houston Rockets owner and Billion Dollar Buyer star Tilman Fertitta debuted Willie G’s, his newly-revamped take on the longstanding seafood restaurant.
The restaurant arrived at Fertitta’s Post Oak Hotel in Uptown Houston, occupying a sprawling space that offers a “modern industrial” vibe. Unfinished ceilings, dark wood panels, exposed lighting, and black granite countertops adorn the dining rooms, which can seat up to 300 diners. A nearby raw bar and outdoor patio will offer additional seating, while three private dining rooms will be available for private events.
As far as the food is concerned, diners can look forward to a diverse menu of dishes from Executive Chef Jason Cole. At the raw bar, a variety of Gulf oysters will be freshly-shucked, along with crab, shrimp, and other seafood tower accoutrements. Sushi, wood-grilled whole fish, and other seafood classics will also be on offer. The restaurant will also offer the same 20,000 bottle wine list available at its sister restaurant at the Post Oak, Mastro’s.
Willie G’s is now officially open for business, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Make those reservations ASAP.
