New York-style bagel fans will have a new option in Houston next week. Golden Bagels & Coffee plans to open in a week at 3119 White Oak Drive in the Heights. This place has big ambitions: co-owner Gregg Goldstein said over the summer that he wanted it to serve the best bagels in town. Yesterday, the shop’s Instagram caption read: “Happy 2018 from Golden! See you in a week!!”
The whole idea here is simple but good. Plain, poppyseed, sesame, everything and honey whole wheat bagels will be available when Golden Bagels opens its door (see all the varieties by scrolling through this Instagram post). Spreads will include cured & smoked fish.
