The Houston area can’t get enough sushi burritos (aka raw-fish-filled seaweed wraps that look like giant sushi rolls). U’Maki Sushi Burrito already boasts locations in Katy and at Louetta Road, and more are in the works for 2019.
U’Maki Sushi Burrito owner Byron Lee tells Eater the company’s very first franchisee will open a sushi burrito outpost at University Commons on University Blvd and Telfair. The plan is to get that shop open in the second quarter of 2019. This third store will span 1,600 square feet and feature outdoor seating, and franchisee Juan Pablo Guerra is at the helm.
Lee clued Eater in that a fourth U’Maki Sushi Burrito location is planned as well: that will happen at The Woodlands in the back half of 2019.
