The farm-to-table restaurant Dish Society will open two new outposts in the coming months, rounding out its count to five area locations.

The locally focused eatery will debut in Finn Hall when the food hall opens next week, followed by a location at 1050 Yale Street in the Heights mid-January. Finn Hall will offer up a condensed menu of Dish Society’s brunch favorites like fried chicken biscuits, brisket ‘n’ eggs, shrimp and grits, and breakfast tacos, and for lunch and dinner, sandwiches, salads, small bites, and entrees like the brisket-stuffed sweet potato and 44 Farms chimichurri steak tacos. The pared-down drinks selection will include drip coffee, soda, sparkling water, and kombucha. Dish Society’s Finn Hall spot will also serve as a test kitchen for new menu items.

Its forthcoming Heights location will debut inside Heights Central Station, joining an outpost of Austin’s healthy-food chain JuiceLand. It’ll offer the same fare found at its other locations, plus a larger bar area that can accommodate a bigger selection of craft beer, cocktails, and wine. This spot will also feature a game area decked out like a living room with leather sofas and chairs and board games, giant scrabble, and a TV.

To prep for two additional outposts, Dish Society will hire 70 staff members, offering enviable and rarely seen perks like reimbursement for massages, yoga classes, and gym memberships, academic scholarships for students, paid vacation for hourly team members, and free English and Spanish language classes, in addition to medical, dental, and vision insurance. ”This industry is grueling and can kick the crap out of you... that’s why I want everyone on our team to take care of themselves outside of work and find a balance so they can feel fulfilled on all levels,” said founder Aaron Lyons, who won Restaurateur of the Year from the Greater Houston Restaurant Association in 2016. “I’m so grateful for how well Houston has embraced Dish Society. Even through our ups and downs and growing pains, we’ve been able to attract loyal fans in multiple neighborhoods.”

Dish Society debuts in Finn Hall on December 3 and in the Heights on January 21. Stay tuned for official hours of operation.
