Dallas chain Flying Fish has officially landed in Houston. The fast-casual seafood eatery announced last year that it would open its first Houston-area restaurant, and now the doors are open in the Heights.
Flying Fish serves up everything seafood, as in boiled platters, fried seafood baskets, catfish, shrimp, oysters, grilled fish, crab legs, fish tacos, jambalaya, grits, gumbo, and mudbugs (when in season). Other menu items include burgers, chicken, hush puppies, and pickled green tomatoes along with desserts.
This is the newest location for restaurateurs Shannon Wynne and Larry Richardson, with 10 Flying Fish outposts in North Texas, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Houston residents are invited to help round out the restaurant’s signature “Billy Bass Adoption Wall:” bring in one of these novelty toys and get a free basket of catfish along with a place of honor on the wall.
The restaurant is located at 1815 North Durham Drive and open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
