Tiger Noodle House, a Katy favorite for classic Chinese dishes, will soon open its doors in Rice Village.

Permit applications filed with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission indicate that the restaurant will open at 2424 Rice Boulevard, in the heart of the neighborhood near Rice University. An update to the restaurant’s website confirms the expansion, and real estate blog Swamplot reported on the lease back in August. This is the third outpost for Tiger Noodle House, which currently operates two well-reviewed locations in Katy.

For diners who haven’t made the trek to Katy, Tiger Noodle House serves up a menu of traditional Chinese dishes, ranging from xiao long bao (soup dumplings) to “spicy and numbing” hot pots, crispy spring rolls, and noodle dishes. There’s even a “hot noodle challenge” on the menu, wherein diners who can down a bowl of noodles that’s spiked with a ton of ghost peppers in 30 minutes earn their meal and a t-shirt for free. Cumin lamb, deep-fried fish doused in sweet and sour sauce, and takeout favorites like kung pao chicken are also on the menu.

No word yet on when Tiger Noodle House will open in Rice Village, but Eater has reached out for more details. Stay tuned for an update.
