Arizona-based chain Blanco Tacos & Tequila is planning to make its way to Houston in the coming months.
The Mexican eatery’s Houston debut was a rumor last year, but now site plans posted to hawk-eyed real estate forum HAIF confirm its arrival. Blanco Tacos & Tequila will occupy a prime spot right across from where Mediterranean eatery Fig & Olive and much-lauded sushi spot are set to open, according to. The chain has not officially announced its expansion into Houston, but job postings to its parent company’s Glassdoor page confirm the restaurant’s impending arrival.
The chain has not announced many details on its forthcoming Galleria outpost, but look forward to fajitas, quesadillas, enchiladas, and of course, tacos on the menu. The restaurant will offer seating on an expansive patio, perfect for sipping one of Blanco’s margaritas, micheladas, or sangrias. Blanco Tacos & Tequila is operated by Fox Restaurant Concepts, the minds behind Drake-approved pasta spot North Italia and healthy eatery Flower Child, which is expected to open its doors in Uptown Park in the coming months.
No word yet on when Blanco Tacos & Tequila will land in Houston, as it was originally expected to debut in Fall 2017. Eater has reached out to Fox Restaurant Concepts for more details on the restaurant’s arrival.
