Shake Shack will officially kick open the doors to its second Houston outpost in Rice Village later this month.
The restaurant at 6205 Kirby Drive will bring Shake Shack’s legendary burgers and crinkle-cut fries to the neighborhood, not too far away from Hopdoddy Burger Bar’s Rice Village outpost. Like its sister location at the Galleria, this outpost will serve the Houston-exclusive Pie Oh My concrete made with seasonally-rotating pies from Fluff Bake Bar, and the Lockhart Link Burger, a burger topped with a Kreuz Market sausage link that’s only available in Texas.
This opening comes just days after Eater reported that Shake Shack has plans to open a third Houston restaurant in Montrose. A 15-year lease has been signed for the building formerly occupied by a Burger King, but despite its fast-food heritage, a representative for Shake Shack tells Eater that the building’s drive-thru won’t be preserved during Shake Shack’s remodel.
Shake Shack makes its Rice Village debut at 11 a.m. on February 28.
