This week, Bloom & Bee and H Bar made their debut at restaurateur and Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta’s glitzy new Post Oak Hotel.
Bloom & Bee, serving sustainable ingredients and a pasta-heavy menu within a space that offers “garden tea party” vibes, is now open at the Post Oak, according to a press release. With Frank Stella’s work in the lobby, obviously the development is big on art, and Bloom & Bee’s dining room is no exception. Dale Chihuly-inspired blown glass flowers adorn the ceiling in pastel shades of lilac, rose, and lavender.
The hotel’s bar, H Bar, also arrived this week, complete with interiors fit for an episode of Mad Men. Think low-slug, leather-clad chairs gathered around petite cocktail tables in a dimly lit interior. Photographs of luxury cars line the walls. Both new spots join Texas’ first Mastro’s Steakhouse and Willie G’s Seafood, both equally upscale eateries that share wine cellar that boasts more than 20,000 bottles.
Later this week, yet another bar, Craft F&B, will also make its debut. The pub will serve craft beers, pizzas, and comfort food in an industrial setting. Bouchée Patisserie, which set up shop in the hotel lobby, serves up Parisian-inspired pastries, macarons, and sandwiches, along with chocolate and coffee.
