After months of waiting to get their hands on a copy, Houston drinkers can now buy Julep bar maven Alba Huerta’s new cocktail cookbook, Julep: Southern Cocktails Refashioned.

Huerta announced the on-sale date of her book on Instagram, which was photographed by local photographer Julie Soefer. “None of this would have been possible without the support of my incredibly giving staff, loving family, and all around great book team,” Huerta wrote. “My very first book comes out today and I’ve thrown a lot of parties, but this one’s for me.”

According to the book’s description, Julep: Southern Cocktails Refashioned includes more than 60 cocktail recipes, along with 15 recipes for killer bar snacks. Of course, considering its Southern focus, the book features multiple riffs on the mint julep, including a rye-based version and sparkling julep. In a review of the book for Bon Appetit, Andrew Knowlton described it as “Southern hospitality at its finest.”

Julep: Southern Cocktails Refashioned is now available for purchase via Amazon and other major booksellers. Snag a copy, then swing by Julep for an autograph before Huerta gets too famous.
