Popular Mediterranean eatery Fig & Olive’s Galleria chain is getting ready to open its door very soon. The chain, which focuses on Italian, Spanish and French coastal flavors, is already in New York, California, Washington, D.C. and Chicago, and now it’s landed in Houston for its first Texas location.

Fig & Olive moved into an expansive 7,000-square-foot space at the Galleria across from the recently-revamped Saks Fifth Avenue building. The restaurant includes a 160-seat dining room, a 24-seat bar and lounge, two private dining rooms, and a 40-seat al fresco terrace.

When Fig & Olive’s Galleria is open, its hours will be 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday, 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Correction: This post was originally based on a Houston Press article noting the restaurant would open today. Reps from the restaurant have since contacted that paper and Eater to note the opening is not yet happening.

Update: Fig & Olive is opening its first Houston location this weekend. The official opening date is Friday, a press rep confirmed, but the restaurant is allowing a few guest reservations on Thursday night for dinner soft opening.
