After a long wait, Houstonians will finally be able to get their hands on the smoked meats at Feges BBQ, Greenway Plaza’s new destination for brisket, sausage, and so much more.

A tipster pointed Eater in the direction of an Instagram post from Feges BBQ’s neighbor Burgerchan, announcing that the restaurant will kick open the doors at 3 Greenway Plaza one day this week. A representative for Houston’s newest barbecue joint confirms the news. It’s been in the works since at least the middle of last year, when co-owners Erin Smith and Patrick Feges began serving up tastes of the barbecue that was to come at pop-ups and events across the city.

The menu for Feges BBQ indicates that the restaurant will serve a diverse menu of smoked meats and sides. The boudin will be made at the restaurant, along with sausage, pulled pork, pork belly, and of course, brisket and ribs. The sides, ranging from Moroccan-spiced carrots to roasted eggplant with mint and kale salad, are decidedly more interesting than the typical potato salad and baked beans. Served until 10:30 a.m., a breakfast menu offers tacos and biscuits with brisket gravy.

After a preview tomorrow, Feges BBQ will officially kick open the doors to the public on Thursday, March 22.
