Downtown’s forthcoming Bravery Chef Hall keeps getting better, and now MasterChef season three winner Christine Ha has announced plans to join the swanky Downtown food hall.
Ha, famously known as The Blind Cook, will open her first restaurant called The Blind Goat inside Bravery Chef Hall, reports the Houston Chronicle. Details on the menu are not yet available, but Ha will focus on Nhau cuisine, a subset of Vietnamese cooking that’s meant to be consumed while drinking. “I am very excited to be opening my first food concept since winning ‘MasterChef,’” Ha told the Chron. “Everyone has been waiting to taste my dishes, and after doing pop-ups all over the world, I am finally ready to turn my dream into a reality.”
At Bravery Chef Hall, Ha joins a pack of talented Houston chefs and restaurateurs, including Ben McPherson, who will open a pasta restaurant called BOH Pasta at the Hall. Chef David Guerrero will also open a Nikkei (Japanese-Peruvian) restaurant there, along with a new spot from Felix Flores called Cherry Block. When it opens, each stall at Bravery Food Hall will offer counter seating for 30-40 diners.
Bravery Chef Hall is still projected to arrive sometime in Summer 2018. Stay tuned for more details.
