85C Bakery Café Continues Its Houston Takeover

The Taiwanese pastry purveyor is plotting a Friendswood location

85C Bakery Cafe

Pastry fans, rejoice — wildly popular Taiwanese sweet shop 85C Bakery Café is continuing its Houston takeover with a brand new location.

Construction permits filed in Harris County indicate that 85C Bakery Cafe has plans to open its newest outpost at 19028 Gulf Freeway in Friendswood, not too far away from the Baybrook Mall. There, the shop will occupy just over 2,600 square feet of space, which is hopefully enough room to comfortably accommodate the crowds that will likely pour in when this outpost arrives, if previous 85C Bakery Cafe openings are any indication.

These two new cafes bring the total number of local 85C Bakery Cafe outposts to four, joining two currently-open locations, one on Bellaire Boulevard and another on Blalock Road. Like the Friendswood location, there’s also an outpost of 85C Bakery Cafe under construction in Katy, set to open at the Katy Grand development later this summer.

Stay tuned for more details on when 85C Bakery Cafe will bring its pastries and sea salt coffee to Friendswood.
