Try Ayesha Curry and Michael Mina’s International Smoke Before It Officially Arrives In Houston

Here’s a chance to get a taste of International Smoke, California chef Michael Mina and Food Network host Ayesha Curry’s upcoming Houston restaurant, before it opens next month at CityCentre. Mina will host a one-day pop-up at Hugo’s in Montrose on May 20, offering a sneak peek of his International Smoke menu. Mina will take over the entire restaurant during the pop-up’s run on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Tickets cost $30 (snag them here). The pop-up includes a welcome cocktail with passed hors d’oeuvres, then food stations serving up International Smoke dishes like ribs with barbecued oysters; bacon steamed buns; and Tom Kha shooters with curry cornbread. Check out the entire menu here.

Besides all that food, guests will get to mingle with Mina at the International Smoke pop-up event. Curry won’t be in attendance, since she’s expecting, but she’ll definitely be there in spirit — particularly with that Golden State Warriors​ vs. Houston Rockets rivalry.
