This is not a drill, fans of Memphis-style fried chicken. Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken’s Houston outpost is officially open today, after hosting soft opening hours over the weekend with sales benefitting charities. Fans have been anticipating this arrival for two years.
The restaurant at 1815 Washington Avenue will serve its entire menu today and going forward, and will be open tonight until 9 p.m. Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken serves up spicy fried chicken made with a secret blend of spices. The menu also includes sides like baked beans and fried okra.
