Pitch 25 Beer Park, the soccer-obsessed beer garden from Houston Dynamo legend Brian Ching, has officially arrived in Houston.
A partnership between Ching and the Kirby Group, which operates Heights Bier Garten and Holman Draft Hall, just brought the new 25,000-square foot monstrosity to 2120 Walker Street last Friday, CultureMap reports. Pitch 25 will attempt to offer something for everyone — even people who deign to watch sports on its 42 large screen TVs — with activities like shuffleboard and corn hole, an indoor soccer field for 4-on-4 matches, and an outdoor stage on the patio. It even has indoor swings for patrons who feel that regular bar stools are a little too stationary.
To go along with the 100 mostly craft beer offerings, Pitch 25 also has classic cocktails, wine, and a couple of frozen drink machines. The food menu is full of Americana classics that pair well with beer like burgers, sandwiches, and salads, including a pineapple and fried spam-topped beef patty on The Brian Ching burger as a tribute to his Hawaiian heritage.
Pitch 25 is now open Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., just in time for the World Cup.
