El Segundo Swim Club, a new urban pool and drinks destination, just hit the Second Ward.

The watery addition recently arrived at 5180 Avenue L, CultureMap reports. The pool promises a cool Houston riff on the quintessential Los Angeles surf town, also named El Segundo, with 1,300 square feet of swim space plus cabanas and lounge chairs. Thirsty swimmers can snag day passes for $20 or a season pass for $100.

The company who outfitted Axelrad and Goode Company Kitchen & Cantina, Gin Design Group, created the vibrantly colored outdoor space, drawing inspiration from the Brazilian landscape artist Roberto Burle Marx. Cocktail whiz Chris Frankel dreamt up his versions of the quintessential poolside drinks including palomas and a Pimm’s cup, plus coconut water infused with vodka. Drinkers can also find beer, wine, and champagne for a fancy poolside splurge.

The owner Matthew Healey told CultureMap that he originally designed the spot as a space for just him and his friends to hang out, but decided to monetize the project by opening it up to the public. “We’re creating a little oasis just off the beaten path. It’s going to be a lot of fun,” he said.

El Segundo Swim Club is now open Friday through Sunday, check its website for ticketing and more information.
