8th Wonder Brewing, the EaDo brewery known for repping Houston hard, will debut its latest boozy venture today.
A post to the brewery’s Facebook page announces the brand new 8th Wonder Distillery, a venture that expands 8th Wonder’s boozy domain in East Downtown. The new tasting room at 8th Wonder Distillery is located directly across the street from the brewery’s current space at 2202 Dallas Street. In the newly-opened space, drinkers can score a taste of vodka that’s been distilled (of course) eight times, or a gin that’s infused with the hops that 8th Wonder uses in its beers.
It also appears that the tasting room will serve cocktails like the Floradora, a mix of 8th Wonder hopped gin, raspberry grenadine, lime juice, and ginger ale. Other spirits, including an agave-based offering and aged whiskeys, are reportedly in the works, but no details on what those will be have been released yet.
8th Wonder Distilling is now open seven days a week — Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m., Saturday from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m., and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
