When it makes its Midtown debut, America Gardens will focus on the classic dishes of the United States.
The restaurant from Dallas restaurateurs Shawn Rao and Jonathan Serrano will open its second outpost in East Midtown at 2400 Caroline Street. The Houston location, joining the Fort Worth original that opened in 2017, will occupy 14,000 square feet with indoor seating for 150 diners, including a pet-friendly outdoor space with lawn darts, live music, and more than 40 televisions for sports-watching. After 9 p.m., the space will transform into a 21-and-up bar.
The project is currently seeking investors on crowdfunding platform NextSeed, and interested parties can score perks like free beer with an investment of $100 or more in the project. A $10,000 investment will entitle the investor to a free beer or cocktail per day for life (or for the life of the restaurant), along with a $500 happy hour credit and an invitation to the restaurant’s launch party.
As far as the food is concerned, diners can look forward to a menu of regional favorites, ranging from Maine lobster rolls to Louisiana-style catfish and Philly cheesesteaks. Burgers, pot roast, and crawfish etouffee are on the menu in Fort Worth, along with patio-friendly cocktails like frose and margaritas and Moscow mules served on tap.
America Gardens is expected to open its doors in January 2019. Stay tuned for more updates.
