When Railway Heights makes its debut next year, it’s going to be home to dozens of food vendors, and two local favorites have already announced that they’ll be in the mix.

First up for the forthcoming dining destination is a permanent location of Churrasco Food Truck. The popular mobile eatery, known for its Brazilian picanha and plantains, announced that it will set up shop at Railway Heights on Instagram. In that post, the owners of Churrasco anticipate that it will open sometime in Spring 2019.

Also en route is an outpost of Richmond’s The Grove Do-Nutz, which also announced its impending arrival in Houston proper on Instagram. Can’t wait for spring 2019,” reads the announcement. “We are proud to open our second location at Railway Heights.” At that location, pastry enthusiasts can look forward to creatively-topped doughnuts, croissant doughnuts, and even a savory pizza offering.

As Eater reported last month, Railway Heights is set to bring a truly dizzying array of dining options to its location at 8200 Washington Avenue. Churrasco and The Grove Do-Nutz are the only vendors that have announced their opening so far, but more than two dozen food stalls are expected to operate once the development is open. It is also set to house a dog park bar, container garden salad restaurant, and a 13,000 square-foot beer garden.

Railway Heights is expected to arrive sometime in spring 2019. Stay tuned for details its forthcoming restaurants and opening timeline.
