Flying Pho, a new restaurant in Garden Oaks that specializes in Northern-style pho served with filet mignon, is celebrating its grand opening on Saturday. Find Flying Pho at 3434 Ella Blvd., and that filet mignon pho is not the only Northern Vietnamese-style on the menu. The restaurant also serves pho ga tron, also known as “dry” chicken pho, or a chicken rice noodle dish without the broth.
Flying Pho is from the owner of Ninja Ramen, according to the Houston Chronicle. For the grand opening on Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight, customers will get a free Vietnamese iced coffee or milk tea. The restaurant is also debuting a new weekend brunch and a new menu item: Vietnamese fried chicken.
