Chick’n Cone, a New York fast casual eatery that makes chicken and waffles into handheld snacks, will open in the Woodlands tomorrow.

The fledgling eatery is coming to the Waterway development in the Woodlands at 31 Waterway Square. It operates just two other outposts in the nation — the original in NYC which launched four years ago, plus a second location in Fort Collins, Colorado. In NYC, the Columbus Circle eatery serves up waffle cones full of fried chicken that have been doused in a number of sauces like ranch, barbecue, cinnamon-maple, buffalo, or peri-peri sauce. It also serves up cajun-spiced shoestring fries.

Local residents George Booth and Jason Shepperd, a local pastor, bought into the NY-based eatery last year with the goal of bringing an outlet to their hometown of Houston. Multiple locations of the growing chain are set to follow, though no additional locations have been announced just yet.

Chick’n Cone opens Friday, August 31 and will operate Sunday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Thursday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
