Beard Papa’s, a massive Japanese cream puff chain, is already planning a second Houston location.

The second outpost is actually the fifth confirmed eatery for Bellaire Food Street and will debut at 9393 Bellaire Blvd, Suite G. The announcement follows several other exciting eateries announced for the development just this week including Japanese teppanyaki Pepper Lunch and gourmet popsicle purveyor Popfancy.

The first local Beard Papa’s debuted in August in the new Katy Asian Town development, bringing its menu of custard-filled cream puffs in flavors like matcha and honey butter, Paris-Brest, and cookie parfaits to the suburbs. The Bellaire Food Street location marks the chain’s first venture into Houston proper. In Asiatown, Beard Papa’s joins a bustling dessert scene — Bellaire Boulevard is packed with destinations for a sweet treat, ranging from ice cream shops that sling soft-serve crowned with a halo of cotton candy to shave ice spots and iconic local bakeries.

Beard Papa’s Bellaire Food Street location plans to open mid-February. Stay tuned for more details on its arrival.

Update 10/26/18 11:46 a.m.: original permits filed with the City of Houston erroneously indicated that Beard Papa’s second location would debut at 9503 Bellaire Boulevard. This post has been updated with the correct location of Bellaire Food Street.
