Jack & Ginger’s, an Austin-based Irish pub, will soon open its first location in Houston.

After its opening was pushed back due to as-yet-unnamed delays, the Houston outpost of Jack & Ginger’s is set to arrive at 2416 Brazos Street in Midtown, joining the original Jack & Ginger’s that opened in Austin in 2015. A project of Union Venture Group, the bar will be a destination for beer — more than 82 different brews will be on offer — and traditional pub grub.

When it debuts, diners can look forward to dishes like Guinness-battered fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, and potato skins. The Houston location will also serve an “Irish-style” burger topped with Irish cheddar and crispy potatoes, along with avocado hummus. On Sundays, a brunch buffet will take over the restaurant, and early-morning boozers will be able to build their own Irish coffees and Bloody Marys, then pair those drinks with dishes like maple-butter biscuit sandwiches and a BLT sandwiched between two cheesy waffles.

Jack & Ginger’s will officially open its doors on Wednesday, November 14. Here’s hoping that opening date sticks. The bar will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Update 11/12/2018, 9 a.m.: This post has been updated to reflect the new opening date for Jack & Ginger’s.
