— The second location of Jonathan’s the Rub is set to hit Memorial on October 4. When the swanky new eatery debuts, it will seat upwards of 230 diners in a chic space, complete with marble-topped bar and private dining room. Diners can look forward to a menu of upscale dishes from chef Eric Laird, including roasted rainbow trout doused in caper butter, ceviche, and chicken mole poblano, and a full cocktail menu. — Popular chicken wing chain Pluckers will open its fifth Houston-area location in Stafford, which will also soon be home to In-N-Out Burger. The new location will debut on Highway 59 South, in between Kirkwood and Airport Road, and is set to arrive in 2019. No official opening timeline has been set just yet. [EaterWire]

— Walk-ON’s Bistreaux & Bar, the Baton Rouge sports bar chain backed by New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, will open its first Houston-area location in Spring next year. At least 10 outposts of Walk-On’s are expected to open in the area in the coming years, and construction is set to begin in October on that first location in Spring. [Chron]
