Edible Scoops of Raw Cookie Dough Land in Houston

It’s the first outpost in Dough Life’s Texas expansion

Dough Life, a shop devoted to dishing out scoops of edible cookie dough, is opening today in Friendswood.

The new dessert destination located inside Baybrook Mall is the first Houston-area outpost for the brand which operates mostly in Northeastern states. However, according to its website, it already has a Texas take-over in the works with locations planned for Humble’s Deerbrook Mall, The Woodlands Mall, plus multiple mall outposts in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Dough Life will be serving up a menu of 12 cookie dough flavors like mint, peanut butter, s’mores, caramel, and red velvet, along with the perennial favorite — regular ol’ chocolate chip.

Edible cookie dough shops are relatively uncommon in H-Town, but local purveyor Jolly Roger Sweets has been selling their pints of blueberry lemon and confetti cookie dough online and via UberEats since 2015. Dough Life is the area’s first dedicated dough shop, and expect more to come — the fad is already firmly entrenched in DFW which welcomed two spots devoted to the sweet, gooey treat just this year.
