A mere six months after debuting in Montrose, La Villa Saint-Tropez is already rebranding with a new chef and shortened moniker.
The restaurant at 4315 Montrose Boulevard is now known simply as La Villa, and Top Chef France alum Kevin D’Andréa recently took over the kitchen in the 4,000 square-foot blue-and-white eatery. The incoming chef expanded the dinner, brunch, wine, and cocktail offerings with an “even more modern take” on food and wine from the Southern regions of France and his birthplace in Southwestern France, according to a press release.
The 27-year-old D’Andrea was a finalist on Top Chef France in 2015. He spent time in a five-star hotel and Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris, London, Las Vegas, and the French Riviera prior to this new venture. After marrying an American, D’Andrea decided to bring his career state-side, which is how he ended up at La Villa. His new dinner menu details highlights like burgundy black truffle risotto with arborio rice, roasted vegetables and parmesan; escargot ravioli with celery purée and aioli emulsion; butternut soup with roasted bread foam; and spice rubbed roasted duck breast served with creamy, fluffy polenta, among other dishes.
Restaurant hours are Tuesday through Thursday 5 to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 5 to 11 p.m., Sunday Brunch 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Happy Hour Tuesday through Friday 5 to 7 p.m.
