A Chic New Coffee Shop Is About to Open in the Heights

Shoppers at HEB in the Heights will soon have a fancy place to get caffeinated. The Roastery Coffee Kitchen, attached to the second floor of the Heights HEB at 2300 N. Shepherd Drive, will open its doors tomorrow.

This is the second location for the Roastery Coffee Kitchen which debuted in a Bellaire HEB last fall from a group of famed NYC chefs. Apparently there are plans for many more, all attached to HEB grocery stores but with their own entrances. The next location will be at the San Felipe HEB, with plans to open in early spring with extras like a full bar and an on-site coffee roasting operation.

Each location is decked out with marble coffee counters, chevron wood accents, stained concrete floors, and community tables. The beans are sourced from sustainable growing operations in Indonesia, Colombia, Honduras, Kenya, and Brazil. There’s more than coffee here too: the menu includes sandwiches, toasts, salads, made-to-order mini-donuts, pastries, and soft-serve gelato.

Roastery Coffee Kitchen’s Heights location will operate Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
