California chain Mendocino Farms’s takeover of Houston’s sandwich scene continues with the addition of a brand new outpost at Uptown Park.

The Mendocino Farms location at 1111-05 Uptown Park Boulevard kicked open the doors on Thursday, joining the first local restaurant at Rice Village that opened in July. At least two more outposts are currently in the works for Houston, including a location in the Heights and another in Downtown Houston.

For the uninitiated, Mendocino Farms is known for its extensive menu of sandwiches and salads. Vegans and vegetarians will find a lot to love in the menu, which boasts an Impossible burger, meatless banh mi, and a house-smoked tempeh sandwich as options for those eschewing meats. Omnivores can dig into dishes like a chimichurri steak sandwich served on a pretzel roll with smoked bacon and fried onions; avocado and quinoa salad with chipotle vinaigrette; and a hot Italian hoagie.

Mendocino Farms is now open at Uptown Park from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
