Briggo Coffee House, which claims rights to the world’s first robotic barista, will open its first grocery store location in the U.S. inside Midtown’s new Whole Foods Market.
The high-tech stand is scheduled to start churning out caffeinated drinks on Thursday, November 7, at 515 Elgin Street.
Customers can order ahead via Briggo app or at multiple touchscreen kiosks inside the store. Speedy offerings include coffees, cappuccinos, seasonal latte, along with other hot and iced coffee and tea drinks using both Briggo’s beans and Whole Foods Market’s house Allegro blend. Briggo’s high-altitude arabica beans hail from Guatemala, El Salvador and Brazil, and feature a velvety finish.
The Whole Foods will also be stocked with Briggo’s blend for at-home brewing.
Dairy options, flavorings, and sweeteners housed in each kiosk are sustainably sourced and Whole Food’s ban on ingredients with hydrogenated fats, high-fructose corn syrup, and artificial sweeteners.
Briggo’s inaugural Houston location opened inside the George R. Brown Convention Center in 2018. Houston can expect to see more Briggo locations open throughout the rest of 2019 in Houston.
The futuristic coffee shop recently inked expansion deals with SSP America and Foxconn Industrial Internet (Fii) to plop more locations inside airports, convention centers, corporate offices, hospitals, and grocery stores.
