Expansion-minded chain Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar expands to Stafford on Monday, November 11.

Like its seven other locations sprinkled across Texas, Oklahoma and Florida, the hyper-local restaurant will maintain an on-site herb garden and relationships with nearby farms and vendors to help build the menu. There’s reportedly not a microwave or freezer in the kitchen.

Located in mixed-used development The Grid, where it will soon be neighbors with In-N-Out Burger, the giant 8,600-square-foot restaurant has room for 284 guests (12575 Southwest Freeway) for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Popular orders include an “OMG” burger, “3 Little Pigs” sliders, and goat cheese fondue.

The 72-seat bar’s cocktail program calls for Whiskey Sours made with hand-squeezed lemon juice and house bitters. Whisky Cake’s vast whiskey collection includes more than 400 brands, joined by microbrews and wines on tap.
