District 7, a new West Memorial Place spot for happy hour or brunch on a patio, has officially made its debut.
The restaurant quietly opened its doors at 15375 Memorial Drive last week, per a press release, and has plans to host a grand opening later this week. It’s project of wife-and-husband duo Shelley and Babak Ellham, the restaurateurs behind other (mostly) similarly named eateries like District Tacos and Pizzas, District 7 Grill, and Cellar. The restaurant boast views of the neighboring Terry Hershey Park on its large outdoor patio, along with smoothies and other quick eats for the area’s workers and residents.
Open for lunch, brunch, and dinner, District 7 boasts a menu of crowd-pleasers like paella, pizzas, burgers, and braised beef short ribs. During brunch, hearty dishes like gravy-slathered chicken and waffles, omelets, and pork steak and eggs are on offer, along with lighter fare like a “breakfast salad” and a bunless burger topped with fried egg. Boozy options include traditional brunch options like mimosas and a Bloody Mary. Considering the location, expect this spot to be seriously hopping during happy hour thanks to specials like $5 beers, $6, margaritas, and $10 pizzas.
District 7 is now open at West Memorial Place from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Wednesdayh, and 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturdays. Brunch runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays, but the doors stay open for dinner until 10 p.m.
