After more than two years of rumors that Denver-based “eatertainment” venue Punch Bowl Social would head to Houston, it’s officially happening now.

Leasing documents for Lovett Commercial’s development at 1818 Washington Avenue indicate that Punch Bowl Social has inked a deal for a 5,000 square foot space that’s roughly situated in between B&B Butchers and the space that will eventually house Ford Fry’s forthcoming restaurant the Optimist. The chain confirmed Eater’s reporting in a statement on November 18, noting that Punch Bowl Social is expected to arrive at the Sawyer Yards development sometime in late 2020.

Punch Bowl Social first made its way to Texas in 2014 with an Austin location, which briefly closed for a revamp this fall before reopening in October. This year, the chain opened two DFW locations — one in Dallas, another in Fort Worth — with mixed success. The Fort Worth location, which was housed in a $2.5 million dollar space, closed after slightly less than three months, but the Dallas outpost is still going strong.

For the uninitiated, the Denver-based chain is both a destination for dinner and tons of entertainment options, including vintage arcade games, private karaoke suites, tabletop games, and bowling. The food menu ranges from chicken and waffles to cocoa-dusted carnitas tacos and superfood bowls packed with farro and quinoa. There’s also a ton of cocktail options, including a selection of punches (hence the name Punch Bowl Social) and classics like the Negroni and Old Fashioned.
