Just a few weeks after announcing its expansion to Houston, unicorn-themed sweet shop Magical Dessert Bar has set an opening date.

The Dallas-based shop is set to debut at 907 Westheimer Road on March 9, according to a Facebook event. As Eater reported back in January, this is the second Magical Dessert Bar, joining a location that opened in Dallas back in 2018. There, the shop has inspired lengthy lines and plenty of Instagram posts of its offerings, all decorated to look like unicorns and festooned with tons of brightly-colored frosting and sprinkles. Like the Dallas outpost, Houston’s Magical Dessert Bar will also serve bright pink hot chocolate, cookies, cakes, ice cream, and milkshakes topped with entire slices of cake.

Along with those sometimes hours-long lines, Magical Dessert Bar has also stirred a little bit of controversy. According to CentralTrack, the shop used stock photos of unicorn-themed desserts (read: not its own treats) to advertise its offerings, and a number of Yelp reviews of Magical Dessert Bar describe the actual milkshakes as overpriced, and disappointing compared to those photos. It is, apparently, a hit with kids.

When it debuts on March 9, Magical Dessert Bar will be open from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m.
