Get ready for more gumbo, y’all — it sure looks like Houston Cajun cuisine favorite BB’s Cafe has plans to expand to a tenth Houston-area location.
A permit application filed with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission indicates that BB’s Cafe will open its doors at 1039 West Bay Area Boulevard in Webster, and a representative confirms that the space is currently under construction. When it opens, the Webster location will make for the tenth Houston-area outpost of BB’s Cafe, which operates multiple restaurants in Houston proper, along with locations in Katy, Cypress, and Pearland.
For Houstonians who have somehow missed out on the joy of BB’s Cafe’s Cajun-fried seafood, crawfish boils, and gumbo, the restaurant has earned a cult following in the years following its Montrose debut in 2007. It’s also earned the endorsement (and frequent visits from) Houston’s most famous resident, one Mrs. Beyonce Knowles-Carter.
BB’s Cafe is expected to arrive in Webster in June or July.
Update 2/18: This post has been updated to reflect an opening date for the Webster location of BB’s Cafe.
