It’s official: after the smash success of the Turkey Leg Hut, owners Lynn and Nakia Price will open a new daiquiri destination next door.

Back in December, Eater reported that a post to the Turkey Leg Hut’s Instagram account announced the arrival of Daiquiri Hut. Shortly after that story was published, though, the post announcing Daiquiri Hut mysteriously disappeared from the restaurant’s Instagram account. Now, though, a permit application filed with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission indicates that the Daiquiri Hut will open at 4830 Almeda Road, right next door to the Turkey Leg Hut.

That original Instagram post that the Daiquiri Hut will serve frozen drinks made with top-shelf spirits instead of the typical malt liquor, available both by the cup and by the gallon. A snack menu is also reportedly in the works, with dishes like po’ boys, fried seafood baskets, salads, and sides potentially on offer alongside more than 20 different types of frozen daiquiri.

It’s long been rumored that the Prices also have plans to continue taking over their part of Almeda with a new breakfast spot called, not surprisingly, the Breakfast Hut. The Prices recently announced plans to expand the Turkey Leg Hut to Atlanta, probably thanks in large part to the massive number of celebrity endorsements the restaurant has received as of late, from stars like Snoop Dogg, Kevin Hart, and Houston’s own Slim Thug.

No details on that project have been announced just yet. Eater has reached out to a representative for the Turkey Leg Hut for more details on when Daiquiri Hut will make its debut. Stay tuned for an update.
