Lunch will be served with a view at the upcoming Strato 550, a new downtown restaurant slated to open this spring 550 feet above the ground. The newly-announced restaurant is in the works for the 43rd floor of the renovated 1415 Louisiana building.
Strato 550 will be open Monday through Friday for the lunch crowd, with meeting rooms and availability for after-hour events for private parties. The menu will be Mediterranean-inspired and the hunt is on now for an executive chef to help open the restaurant.
When Strato 550 opens, it will be the self-proclaimed Houston restaurant open to the public with the highest vantage point for sweeping city skyline views. Naturally, the design will include floor-to-ceiling windows for unobstructed views of downtown from all sides. Houston’s Abel Design Group is handling the design of the 104-seat restaurant in the sky, with a soothing gray and white color scheme.
