One of Houston’s long-running Viet-cajun eateries has just returned to the Houston dining scene in a new Asiatown location a couple of miles from its original outpost on Bellaire Boulevard.

Crawfish & Beignets debuted last week in Dynasty Plaza at 9600 Bellaire Boulevard, Suite 102, just a 10-minute drive from where it previously operated in the Hong Kong City Mall since 2000. The new location features no-frills interiors that seat about 30 guests, although there are TVs presumably for airing sports games.

Crawfish & Beignets’ menu appears to have been expanded from the brief offerings at the restaurant’s original outpost, touting items like chicken or shrimp fried rice, seafood or chicken & sausage gumbo, etouffee, po’ boys, wings, and platters of fried or boiled seafood including oysters, clams, mussels, crab, catfish, and of course, the restaurant’s namesake crawfish. Beignets are on offer for dessert, not surprisingly. As far as drinks are concerned, the eatery serves up beer, alongside slushes, fruit smoothies, boba milk tea, and Vietnamese coffee.

At Dynasty Plaza, Crawfish & Beignets joins an exciting line up of eateries slated for the development including Korean bingsu dessert cafe Snowy Village, Mian, a new noodle house from the owner of Chengdu Taste, and a forthcoming Chinese hot pot chain Spice World, en route for this spring.

Crawfish & Beignets is officially open and operates Sunday through Thursday 12 to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 12 to 11 p.m.
