Healthy food outpost Flower Child is bringing a third Space City location to The Heights.
The Phoenix-based chain from the same restaurant group behind North Italia and Blanco Tacos & Tequila will open at 1533 N. Shepherd Drive. Flower Child just debuted its newest Houston-area location in The Woodlands last week, after first opening in Uptown Park last fall. The Heights location will feature a 3,500-square-foot space inside Market at Houston Heights, which is being designed by stalwart hospitality designer Michael Hsu. At the Heights location, diners can expect a large wrap-around covered terrace and the same garden-chic interiors with green colored accents and bright mural art.
Flower Child will serve up its health-conscious menu of veggie-packed fare like avocado or tomato toast, whole wheat or gluten-free wraps, salads with ingredients like organic kale and greens, quinoa, brussels sprouts, and chia seed dressing, plus plates or bowls full of healthy grains and veggies that can be topped with proteins like grass-fed steak, sustainable salmon, organic tofu, or “all-natural” chicken.
When Flower Child debuts at the Market at Houston Heights, it will join neighboring eateries Heights Bier Garten, Snooze, Superica, La Lucha and a new two-story 88,000-square-foot HEB store, according to a press release. The Market at Houston Heights is a new two-story development that takes up a whopping 75,000-square-feet (about half a city block in size), boasting a pedestrian-friendly dining destination with a central plaza.
Stay tuned for Flower Child’s official opening date in the Heights.
