A little more than a year after debuting its first permanent outpost, Filipino favorite Flip’n Patties has plans to take over a space at forthcoming food hall Understory.

Filings with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts indicate that Flip’n Patties have plans for a stall at 800 Capitol Street, where Understory is expected to make its debut in the coming months. A press release from property developer Skanksa USA on March 12 confirms that expansion, noting that the Understory location of Flip’n Patties will focus “exclusively on their signature burgers and hand-cut, double fried French fries.”

Last August, Eater reported that Dallas-based chain East Hampton Sandwich Company was the first confirmed eatery for Understory, and since then, Boomtown Coffee, a new eatery from Tex-Mex stalwart Ninfa’s on Navigation and an outpost of Mona Fresh Italian Food have been confirmed for the neighborhood’s newest food hall, which is set to occupy 35,000 feet of underground tunnel space in Downtown Houston.

Understory is expected to arrive in summer 2019. Stay tuned for an official opening date, and more details on Flip’n Patties arrival.
