A Sprawling Patio Bar That Serves Up Lots of Frozen Drinks Is in the Works for Montrose

Get ready to sip frozen cocktails in the space that was once home to Brooklyn Athletic Club and its gigantic patio. Lotti Dotti is opening there in April, with two separate outdoor bars. The patio is getting an upgrade too: there will be shade from a new awning and a climate-controlled section.

Not only will Lotti Dotti serve up draft cocktails in carafe and punch bowls, the food menu is from acclaimed chef Adam Dorris, formerly of Presidio Restaurant (his resume also includes Pax Americana, Revival Market, and Stella Sola). Dorris’s bar snacks will include piadina —consider it an Italian quesadilla — with coppa picante, whipped ricotta, and basil. Or go with the restaurant’s own salumi and charcuterie paired with cheese from Houston Dairymaids.

Lotti Dotti’s general manager Michael Riojas of Ladybird’s, Presidio, and Beavers is behind the playful cocktail menu. Think margaritas with sotol, blue curaçao, lime, and tajin; or a “Slime in the Ice Machine” frozen cocktail with tequila, cachaca, matcha, and makrut lime. Beer drinkers will be able to order pitchers or “pick and choose” buckets, while the wine on the menu is from organic, biodynamic, and natural wineries.

Lotti Dotti is currently hiring, and its Craigslist job listing sounds like it might be gathering music for a patio playlist. One of the questions asked of applicants is: “What are your top 3 feel good songs of all time?”
