Antone’s Famous Po’ Boys, one of the Eater’s essential spots to grab the N’awlins-style sandwich, will open a new location in the Medical Center this summer.

The new outpost will be located at 6618 Fannin Street at the base of the Medical Towers Building, which faces the Dryden/TMC MetroRail stop and Texas Children’s Hospital. Construction Concepts will oversee the buildout of the 1,960-square-foot space which will feature counter service and seating for 50 diners. The interior design of this new spot is getting a revamp, along with Antone’s other restaurants located at 4520 San Felipe Street and 2724 W TC Jester Boulevard.

The new outpost will offer Antone’s standard menu of classic po’ boys alongside hot sandwiches like the brisket po’ boy or the Cubano with roasted pork loin, muffulettas, house-made gumbos, fried seafood plates, salads, sides like dolmades, tabouli, hummus, and deviled eggs, plus desserts like brownies and cookies. This location will also offer grab-and-go meals including Antone’s original po’ boy with ham, salami, and provolone, plus turkey & swiss and tuna varieties, salads, and more. It will also offer breakfast for the first time.

“We are excited to launch our updated version of the Antone’s restaurant concept and bring more than 55 years of delicious history to this bustling area of the city,” said Jonathan Horowitz CEO of Legacy Restaurants which owns Antone’s.

The new location will be open seven days a week and will deliver to the Med Center and surrounding areas.
