This Sunday, Chef Bryan Caswell’s Reef will be back in action during a pop-up event in advance of the restaurant’s long-anticipated reopening. Reef closed in 2017 due to damage from Hurricane Harvey. According to CultureMap, owners Jennifer and Bryan Caswell announced via Facebook video that the pop-up crawfish boil on Sunday at 2 p.m. will include Reef’s barbecue crab and lots of punch.
Reef’s Facebook event page for the party on Sunday, April 14 reads:
Pop up soft opening for the REEF bar, Third Bar... join us for a crawfish boil, BBQ crabs, punch, beer & wine plus a surprise guest!
Starting at 2pm until we run out of crawfish!
This is in advance of seafood restaurant’s big week coming up in April. The Third Bar side of Reef is slated to open for lunch and dinner on April 17, per the video and Houston Business Journal. Hiring is currently on for Reef 2.0, “Reef’s newly appointed nickname,” per its site.
